Scalability makes CrossFit the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience, age or gender. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.
CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of the ten generally recognized fitness domains:
Cardiovascular / Respiratory Endurance
The ability of body systems to gather, process, and deliver oxygen.
Stamina
The ability of body systems to process, deliver, store, and utilize energy.
Strength
The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply force.
Flexibility
The ability to maximize the range of motion at a given joint.
Power
The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply maximum force in minimal time.
Speed
The ability to minimize the time cycle of a repeated movement.
Coordination
The ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular distinct movement.
Agility
The ability to minimize transition time from one movement pattern to another.
Balance
The ability to control the placement of the bodies center of gravity in relation to its support base.
Accuracy
The ability to control movement in a given direction or at a given intensity.
Mission Statement: It is our goal as CrossFit coaches to continually attain knowledge in the achievement of complete fitness and wellness. We will communicate our learning experiences to our members through critical coaching and appropriate praise, while never losing sight of our goals, as well as the goals of our athletes.
I've been married to Dan since 1993, we have a son and a daughter. We have always been an active family and enjoyed sport and fitness. Dan took me to my first CrossFit competition at Rogue Fitness in 2008. It's been an amazing journey! I feel better and more fit at 40, then I did in my 20's.
Dan is a Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Whitehall. Dan had back surgery in January 2005 to repair 2 lumbar discs. Prior to that he was an avid runner and had completed 2 marathons and played recreational ice hockey. For years after surgery, he suffered with constant pain and limited flexibility and had little hope for ever returning to sport. That all changed when Dan started CrossFit training He knows his limitations, but his range of motion, flexibility, strength and endurance have improved dramatically!
The constantly varied methods used in CrossFit gave us the results and strength we could not achieve before. The coaching we received at Rogue was top notch, We know that we were trained by the best!
I started coaching classes at Rogue in February 2009 and continue to coach
there when needed. Dan and I opened our facility September 2009.
Our goal is to provide the Pataskala, Reynoldsburg and Pickerington area with a complete CrossFit experience. You won't be disappointed!
